This exhibition was designed to showcase the bold visions and best practices of Member States and WHO across the Region. It represents various health topics that the Member States will discuss during this year’s Regional Committee meeting. This exhibition is a small but important step to reflect our deep mutual commitment to embrace new ideas, talk to multisectoral partners, and work together for a stronger and healthier Region.

The seventy-fifth session of the World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Western Pacific is currently held in Manila, Philippines, from 21 to 25 October 2024.

The Eighth Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentarian Forum on Global Health held from 4 to 6 September 2024 in Port Vila, Vanuatu with the theme focusing on health workforce.

The Biregional Advocacy Meeting on Risk Mitigation in Traditional Food Markets in the Asia Pacific Region was jointly organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for South-East Asia and the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific.

The 20th anniversary of World Blood Donor Day is an excellent and timely opportunity to thank blood donors across the world for their life-saving donations over the years and honour the profound impact on both patients and donors. It is also a timely moment to address continued challenges, and accelerate progress towards a future where safe blood transfusion is universally accessible.

A Joint External Evaluation (JEE) is a voluntary, collaborative, multisectoral process to assess country capacities to prevent, detect and rapidly respond to public health risks whether occurring naturally or due to deliberate or accidental events. The JEE helps countries identify the most critical gaps within their human and animal health systems in order to prioritize opportunities for enhanced preparedness and response.

World Immunization Week, celebrated from 24–30 April, aims to highlight that immunization is a powerful tool to protect us against vaccine-preventable diseases.

This year’s theme was chosen to champion the right of everyone, everywhere to have access to quality health services, education, and information, as well as safe drinking water, clean air, good nutrition, quality housing, decent working and environmental conditions, and freedom from discrimination.
